Normally LCD HDTV are available in 40inch if you want 42 inch there are LG for your choice.The best one is LG 42LH55 42-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV or for good price LG 42LH40 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV is a good choice.

i recently hooked up my nintendo 64 to my HD tv, but i realized the quality of the graphic are worse than the tv from the 90′s i used back then.
is there anything i can do to adjust it?

The image is pixelated because of the higher resolution of the hdtv. The n64 is lower resolution than the tv, so the image is stretched. Same thing happens when you lower the resolution on your pc.

Does anyone know where I can buy a new, well known brand, lcd hd 1080p tv, online (uk market) for under £500 (size 37″ or 32″)?
Sorry Acka, plasma’s have to be re-gassed after a period of time. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Sony have discontinued the BRAVIA range in plasma format.

32″ would be sufficient enough for my small lounge, 37″ would be better, 40″ would be the absolute tops!!!

Get a Plasma, they look much better,

why not just go 42″ , 32″ is way too small, when you are considering 37″

I am thinking about getting either a 32 or 40 inch LED 1080p tv and was planning on playing mainly shooting games like COD on it. Im wondering if 32 inch is the perfect size to keep up with all the action and have better control or if 40 inches can keep up with the action and still have good control or if thats too big to react quickly enough? How far should i sit from the screen? Thanks!
Thanks for all the answers I was thinking about getting a 3d 40 inch maybe any experiences with COD MW3 on 3d? Is it better on an even bigger screen than a 40? Thanks!

if your dead set on 40 inches, you are limited to samsungs 40 led or sonys 40 led, if you go samsung it would be the d7000 or d8000 model, if you go sony it would be nx800/nx900 or hx800/hx900. both manufactures though havnt made most of those models yet so you might have to wait. if you can go up to 42 then i would look at a panasonic plasma gt35 series, it will give you the best picture for a 42 especially for bluray/gaming etc.

I have 2 of the 24″ samsung T240HD monitors with built in tv card. It is the best monitor I have ever seen and is much better than using a TV for it as this monitor uses DVI aswell as HDMI, DVI is better for video quality as HDMI sends audio aswell as video but I use a soundcard in my pc for that :)
