If your PS3 is already set up in HD then you have nothing to do it is already in HD. Because all content will be in HD since your resolution on the console is set at 480p,720p,1080i or 1080p

My friend put a large crack on my 40 inch lcd tv, it cost 800 and the home insurance is covering a replacement. I have to pay 250 pounds excess, well my friend does.
I am allowed to keep the old 1 but is it worth while getting it repaired? I was told it would be around 350 to get it repaired but is there anyway I could get it fixed on the cheap? Or could the parts be sold as it is only the screen damaged?

If it is a 40″ set, I assume it is a projection type and the screen is broken. Only way to be done cheaper is to get the screen assembly yourself and replace it on your own. That can be tricky though. If it is just the screen I would have it repaired if I couldn’t afford the exceess money. The electronics probably are ok, IF IT IS a cracked screen.
