Question by ArmyWife: How much would it cost to repair a 42 in 1080p LCD tv?
A friend of mine gave me a TV and I want to get it fixed. It turned on but then immediately turned off. There is power running through it but now it just wont turn on. We replaced a fuse in it and my husband said it blew the fuse. So, I am going to take it to get fixed I just need to know an estimate of how much it will cost. Any info would help. Thanks!

Really depends on where you are and who you talk to … if it’s just a blown fuse than the most expensive bill may be time / labor. I would guestimate something in the neighborhood of $ 60 USD ??? ask around – mention you’ve repaired it once before but your husband is deployed – hopefully get a sympathetic ear and inexpensive estimate.

BTW, if it is a repeat issue than the problem may be a faulty power supply, that would cost more in Time / Material / Labor but yield long lasting results.

  1. Sorry, “wife” but that is like asking how much it costs to go to the Doctor….we could only guess anywhere from $ 2.00 (ha ha) to $ 1000.00. Once you find out what the cost is, you have the option of seeing if another repair place would be less $ $ , but you need the diagnosis first :]
