Question by wd: What is the Best 40 inch Plasma TV?
I’m in the market for a 37 to 40 inch plasma. Which one do you consider best on the market in that size range?

I have a beautiful Toshiba 40 inch. Picture is awesome and was the best in the store.

Im a Panasonic Viera cheerleader as well….There may be a couple better brands, like Pioneer for example but they cost thousands more and only have a slight edge above the Panasonic’s. Check out the warranty as well, Panasonic is the only brand that offers a free loaner plasma TV should yours become un repairable in your home. There are more details to that, obviously , still worth looking into though…

but if you don’t mind I would recommend LCD tv over plasma.LCD tv is not burn-in,less power consumption and last longer.Samsung is top brand for lcd.Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color would be great for you.

Panasonic . The only TV manufactures Keen to continue Plasma Display, still invest new technology for Plasma TV . those model after Oct 2008 from Panasonic improved the average power consumption / heat that the Plasma Display never having such specifications before. some of the Plasma technology is from Pioneer, Pioneer work with Panasonic for making Plasma Display Panel,after Pioneer total close drown own Plasma panel factory early 2008 ( world best TV Pioneer Kuro model display panel is made by Panasonic ,Pioneer will Quick TV business next year ). Ideal size for Plasma is 42 inc and about ,better 46 inc, never go for 37 inc ,because 37inc Plasma unable to display better colour and image due to some technically and all 37 / 40 inc Plasma TV in the market now, is old Plasma technology , check for Panasonic 42 or 46 inc new model in you country, is should be the best Plasma after Pioneer .
