Take it back, if you’ve got problems now you’ll have them later,most stores have 90 day warranty and then the factory usually has a longer one on it take it back and get yourself a VIZIO it’s by sony and bar none the best tv i’ve ever had we had actually had a samsung first but the color faded

have you try-ed going in to the menu then changing the color settings!
i cant see it being the dvd player if it is a stand alone dvd player disconnect the Scart lead and the color should come back on cant see it being the dvd though

When I walk into Costco I see that a 37″ VIZIO 1080P looks sharper and clearer than my 52″ Samsung with a BLU Ray?? Is this because my TV was not professionally calibrated after it was installed at my home? Any suggestions? I dont want to pay $ 400 bucks to have it done.

The televisions are set according to the lighting of the factory warehouse thats why they look good in stores the lighting is the same from factory to store showroom floor… yes it would be recommended to have your unit calibrated due to the fact that one samsung color scheme sucks and they crazy with there IRE levels just to get you to buy them.. THere the worst manufacter ever.. and the calibration only cost 250 if you go to best buy

Those two cables work well for the HDTV, also suggest FRYS to be a store where you can consider shopping. If your in no rush just wait for it to go on sell, usually very often. Do buy the digital cable it is great for gaming if you have a PS3 system; Xbox360 etc. As for the audio cable if you have a home entertainment system (nice speakers) you can consider hooking it up or else the speakers in the TV is good enough. hope this info helps.

1) I would go with a good quality mount that is sturdy enough to keep a tv, simple to install and cheap. I would recommend getting the cheetah mount. It fits your 40″ samsung lcd tv, it’s a good quality mount, really CHEAP and it also tilts!

2)You’ll want to learn also some important steps prior mounting your bracket to the wall -how high of the ground your tv should be, how to find studs to mount your tv on to, how to hide cables…etc
You can do all that but make sure you have a friend to help you. That tv is HEAVY!

I’m looking to buy a great Tv for gaming, the only scare i have is that iv seen with my brothers 55 inch samsung 1080p led hd tv that when we play games there’s a lag with the controller when playing on his TV and i don’t want to spend over 1k dollars just to find out this problem. Samsung boasts about the “240 C.M.R” whats is that exactly, does the Toshiba have that? and the Toshiba has the “gaming mode”. Lol I’m just wanting a TV that has the best picture, great sound and plays console games perfectly. Someone help me out here? Maybe point me in a better direction? Thanks.

your looking at the wrong tv’s for best picture, great sound, and plays game consoles perfect,,
for the above you need a plasma tv due to they have best picture, great sound, and plays game consoles perfect. due to they do NOT motion blur when playing fast action based games unlike some led/lcd tv’s and plasma tv’s have a deeper black which means a better picture quality
and when buying a plasma tv make sure its a panasonic due to they make the BEST tv’s

For Christmas I just received a 40 inch Samsung flat screen HDTV and I have a PS3. I got an HDMI cable, and connected it from the TV to the PS3. Now when I have the regular yellow, red, and white cables in, the PS3 works, but it looks pretty bad. When I try to connect the HDMI cable, a black screen and nothing else appears, and it’s really annoying. Any tips on how to make it work? Thanks!

You have to set your PS3 to output the video and audio via HDMI cable. Hope this will help you out.
